We provide services for every phase of cancer prevention, treatment, and follow-up care. We treat all kinds of cancer — including breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, leukemia and brain cancer. Our experts also provide care for clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, factor deficiencies, and hemoglobinopathies — while also managing treatment side effects and quality of life considerations.
Open Surgery
When you undergo open surgery, a surgeon makes a large cut to remove your tumor, surrounding tissue, and, when necessary, nearby lymph nodes. A mastectomy is an example of open surgery.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
With this approach to treatment, a surgeon makes a few very small cuts and uses a special camera and surgical tools to remove your tumor and surrounding healthy tissue. This technique is often used for cancer of the stomach, esophagus, and colon, among others.
Cryosurgery
In cryosurgery, we use liquid nitrogen or argon gas to create extreme cold that destroys cancer cells. Cryosurgery is typically used in early-stage cervical cancer and skin cancer.
Lasers
We use laser surgery, in which beams of light cut through tissue, shrinking or destroying tumors, as a common treatment for certain skin cancers, vaginal cancer, and lung cancer.
Hyperthermia
Opposite the spectrum from cryosurgery, with hypothermia we apply extremely high temperatures to destroy tissue.
