Types of Surgery

Dr. Magrino and patient

Appendectomy

We perform this surgery to remove an appendix that has become infected. Removing the appendix will relieve your abdominal pain.

Breast-Conserving Surgery

In this operation, we remove cancer from your breast, as well as surrounding tissue and lymph nodes. However, we leave as much tissue as possible so you can keep most of your natural breast. It is sometimes called lumpectomy or partial mastectomy.

Colon Resection

The colon is part of your digestive system. It is also called the large intestine. During a resection, we remove part of the colon to treat conditions such as colorectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, and diverticulitis.

Gallbladder Surgery

The gallbladder is a small organ near the liver that stores extra bile, which the liver makes to help your body break down fats and absorb them. If you have frequent gallstones or other problems with your gallbladder, we can remove it to provide you relief.

Hernia Repair

A hernia occurs when tissue bulges out of a weak spot in your abdominal wall. We can repair the hernia by pushing it back in and supporting the area with stitches and sometimes mesh.
